#Enjoy your traveling in Japan, not only in Tokyo
Hearing the names of Tokyo, Osaka, Kobe, Kyoto, or even Hokkaido might be familiar to your ears. How not, become a favorite place for travelers plus the number of promos provided by various travel agents. But make no mistake, if you want to enjoy the atmosphere and the other side of Japan, try shifting your vacation location to Tokushima Prefecture on the southwestern island of Shikoku on the city of Osaka. Guaranteed, the beauty is amazing!
1. Iya Valley (祖谷渓, Iyakei)
Located right in the middle of the heart of Shikoku Island and west of Tokushima, the V-shaped mountain valley with the river that divides the surrounding cliffs has an incredible view point. Characterized as a valley, natural nuances are felt in this place coupled with the famous hot springs. Iya Valley has an icon of a small child who throws water facing the valley which symbolizes courage.
2. Ochiai Village (落合集落)
Located deep within the Iya Valley, a village called Ochiai will make you feel at home for a long time. There are residents' houses located on the slopes of the mountain, adding to the beautiful views presented.
3. Iya Vine Bridge
Bridges that are formed using grapes and become a very important way of life for people around them. Making this bridge is still a mystery until now. But the scenery presented seemed to dismiss the element of mystery in it.
4. Naruto Whirlpool (鳴門の渦潮)
If you get bored with the highlands, Tokushima gives a view from the other side. Try watching the whirlpool formed by the meeting of the water flow between Shikoku Island and Awaji Island. You can enjoy various levels of vortices from small to heavy, either from sightseeing boats or from the Naruto bridge. The best time to see this whirlpool is in the summer.
5. Awa Odori Dance Festival
Tokushima also has an Awa Odori dance festival in which millions of dancers consisting of groups of women and men wearing traditional Tokushima clothing dance along with simultaneous movements down the road. Join Japan's biggest street party in Tokushima in August.

On Shikoku Island there are 88 Temple routes along 1400 km, where the first 24 temples are in Tokushima. If you intend to take the route, start by visiting Ryozen-jiTemple (霊 山寺, Ryōzenji), which is the first temple from the circumference to 88 Temple.
7. Oboke & Oboke Gorge
Oboke and Koboke Gorge are narrow and steep canyons located at the entrance of the Iya Valley. The place has calls "big dangerous steps" and "small dangerous steps" because the stone walls on the sides of the river are dangerous enough to explore. Uniquely here also provides sightseeing boat.
