Do you feel that the city you live in is now comfortable? There are several indicators that make a city a comfortable assessment or not, including stability, health, culture and environment, education, and infrastructure. Launching from The Economist Intelligence Unit annual report, there are several cities that are considered the best or bad to live in.

In the 2018 Global Global Accountability Index report, they stated that the overall comfort level of all cities surveyed rose 0.9 percent from a year ago. Of the 140 cities surveyed, these are the 10 most comfortable cities in the world.

1. Vienna, Austria


Vienna or Vienna is the capital of Austria which has successfully shifted Melbourne as the most comfortable city in the world. According to The EIU, Vienna's comfort level has increased dramatically over the past six months. Overall Vienna gets 99.1 out of 100.

2. Melbourne, Australia


Melbourne dropped one rank after surviving for seven years. The value is not much different from Vienna, with a total of 98.4. Melbourne's assessment results include stability 95, health 100, education 100, infrastructure 100, then culture and environment 98.6.

3. Osaka, Japan


Located on Honshu Island, Osaka is the third most populous city after Tokyo and Yokohoma. The increase in the Osaka comfort index is marked by a declining crime rate along with improving public services. Moreover, the population of Osaka is considered by The EIU to be less than other major cities, such as London, New York and Paris.

Osaka scored 97.7 with details on 100 stability, 100 health, 100 education, 96.4 infrastructure, and culture and environment 93.5.

4. Calgary, Canada


Not a guarantee of rich countries can produce a comfortable city. Most of the best cities on this list are dominated by cities with medium wealth. On the other hand, they also benefit from a relatively lower population density.

8. Tokyo, Japan

It is not new if metropolitan cities have high levels of congestion and crime. However, according to the results of The EIU survey, the problems that occurred in Tokyo were able to overcome them well in order to remain comfortable for the population.
